DESCRIPTION:Annual Clinical\, Legal and Ethics Seminar  \nThis program will provide 3 hours of continuing education in ethics\, law\, professional conduct and risk management to satisfy Maryland licensure requirements. \nA suicidal patient refuses treatment. A therapist meets a client for coffee. Divorced parents disagree about a therapist’s recommendation for their child. A client asks to see progress notes. An attorney wants a progress letter. Threats of harm. Out of state clients. Terminating treatment. Complaints to a Licensing Board. The internet sexual exploitation of children and the vulnerable. Join this annual review of what is required ethically and legally in each of these and other day-to-day treatment situations.
